Parents’ Code of Conduct Pledge

(Please sign and turn into coach at first practice)

1.                   I will place the emotional and physical well being of the children ahead of any personal desire to win.

 2.                 I will remember to treat each child as an individual, remembering the large spread of emotional and physical development for the same age.

 3.                 I will accept decisions of game officials as being fair and called to the best of their ability.

 4.                 I will not criticize an opposing team, its players, coaches or fans by word of mouth or gesture.

 5.                 I will refrain from using abusive and profane language.

 6.                 I will not incite unsportsmanlike conduct.

 7.                 I will abstain from drinking alcoholic beverages and smoking on both game and practice fields before and after games and practice.

 8.                 I will remember that I am at the game to be a positive support for all children, and that the game is for children and not adults.

 9.                 I understand that all coaches are volunteers and will treat them with the proper respect they deserve. If I have a concern, I will discuss it in a calm and professional manner.
